Lingenfelter Performance Nationals this weekend!

Looking for something to do this weekend? The Lingenfelter Performance Nationals presented by Royal Purple synthetic Oil is taking place at the Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio from September 21-23. There are activities for enthusiasts of all ages and interests including drag racing, autocross, a car show, tech seminars and dyno pulls.

Many companies have sponsored the event including Royal Purple, Edelbrock, Ridetech, Wanda, Karl Performance Center, Magnuson Superchargers, Holley, Reliable Carriers, Corsa, Optima Batteries, Adam’s Premium Car care, Pedders Suspension and Carbon Kustoms.

Several events are planned for Saturday. The Magnuson Superchargers Battle of the Brands is open to all street legal 1996 and later Ford, GM and Chrysler vehicles as long as they are not all- or four-wheel drive. Any engine modifications are allowed but tires must have a 200 tread wear rating or higher, and may not be drag radials. They will run a 12.50 index—any vehicle running faster than 12.50s in the ¼ mile will lose. No electronic driving aids are allowed. Up for grabs is $1000.

The Reliable Carriers Super Car Shootout is open to Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (2006+) and ZR1 (2009+), Camaro ZL1 (2012+) and Cadillac CTS-V (2009+), the Ford Shelby GT500 (2007+) and GT (2005-2006), and the Dodge Viper (1992+). Cars must run DOT-approved tires and any engine modifications are allowed. The winner will be determined by the quickest ET.

Holley is sponsoring the True Street Class event, intended to highlight high performance street vehicles that are street legal and capable of driving 30 miles without issue. Restrictions are minimal but do require street legal tires (DOT slicks are permitted) with a maximum width of 10.75” or 325mm.

The Karl Performance Center is a single power adder class for GM LS, Ford Modular, Coyote, Magnum and modern Chrysler Hemi-power cars and trucks. Maximum displacement is 510 cubic inches (with a weigh penalty for exceeding this). Permitted power adders include nitrous oxide, single centrifugal supercharger, single or dual turbochargers (with maximum inducer sizes).

Edelbrock is sponsoring a Super Pro and Pro Invitational Bracket race, with a bracket a 7.00-11.99 and another from 8.00-13.99. Wanda is sponsoring a Pro-Mod Invitational ‘Outlaw Quick8’ Shootout with 200+ mph Pro-Mod Outlaws.

The event will also be an official qualifying event for the Optima Batteries Ultimate Street Car Invitational.

Both trackside and ‘primitive’ camping is available. For more information, visit the official website.
